PDF2XL did a good job capturing information from this PDF of D.C. housing violations cleanly and accurately while minimizing hassle.
Its automatic guesses were mostly correct for this test, and its row/column editor, an interface familiar to those with experience in Access or Excel, allowed a closer look and the opportunity to quickly fix problems. Tests for accuracy also showed no data was omitted.
Like the other PDF tools we've tested, PDF2XL could not automatically recognize the headings that group multiple violations by type. Like the original document, they're only listed once in the converted spreadsheet and must be copied to the applicable rows during cleanup.
